At 8am we celebrate Holy Communion (BCP) every week, the service finishes at 9am.

At 10am we join together our main service on a Sunday day where typically there will be songs and hymns, prayer and a Bible based talk.  Communion is typically on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month.

Our Discovery groups for children and young people aged 3-14 meet during the 10am, beginning with All Together Time in the hall, before splitting into their specific age groups. They join the rest of the church family towards the end of the service each Sunday, coming in to join their parents for communion twice a month. There is a creche available in church for parents of babies and toddlers who need to run or play during the service.  The service audio is broadcast to the creche so you can hear the service if your little one won't let you leave.  After the main 10am meeting finishes there may be opportunity for prayer otherwise tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the adjacent hall.

Once a month we have our All Age Worship service at our 10am which provides an opportunity to worship together as a thewhole church family.
After this service, all are then welcome to join us in the hall for refreshments and a chance to catch up with one another and meet new people.

Mattins

This more traditional service uses Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer including hymns and sung responses. It is held on the 2nd Sunday in the month in the church.

6 o'clock service

Evensong

This is a more traditional evening service using Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer including hymns and sungresponses. Evensong is held on the 4th Sunday in the month in the church.

Thursday Communion

This is simple spoken Communion service provides an opportunity to worship midweek. It is followed by a delicious cooked lunch.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will recieve a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcomers who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Services last approximately an hour (Communions' may be longer depending on numbers).

Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits are served after the 10am  service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the children at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children; Children's Worship is in the hall together for the first twenty minutes where all age groups come together for a time of worship, a Bible reading and drama, from there they children break into their Small Groups to explore the Bible further in an age appropriate environment.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under Church Life.

NB: We adhere to the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy 'In Safe Hands' and all volunteers working with children are checked in accordance with the guidelines laid down in this policy.

Is there a dress code?

Please just be yourself and wear whatever is comfortable.

Will I have to join in?

You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
