Prayer

Each weekday morning at 08.30am (except Fridays) we meet at Church House (in church on Wednesdays for Holy Communion) to pray together for our local community and for our church family.

Also some people meet in the North Aisle before the Sunday 10am service to pray.

Prayer Point

A monthly prayer meeting is held at 8pm, usually on the Tuesday after the second Sunday of each month (see the Calendar for this month's meeting). This is an opportunity for the whole church family to come together for corporate prayer. The aim is to support the world wide church family in prayer as well as Christ Church ministries. It is an informal session, which uses a variety of styles. Everyone is welcome.

Contact: Jill Holliday and Annie Twidell via the Parish Office office@christchurchguildford.com.

The Prayer Tree

The prayer tree is a growing number of the church family who are willing to pray for church members, or their families, as and when the need arises. Requests are sent by e-mail and each member of the tree prays in their own way at home or work. It is a wonderful way to share each others concerns, give support and feel part of the church community. Prayer is always answered, not always in the way we expect or hope, but always in a way to encourage, if only to uphold one another in difficult times.

If you have any prayer requests or would like to join the prayer tree then contact prayer@christchurchguildford.com.

Healing Prayer

After most 10am services people who have been trained and approved will be available to pray with you for any need that you want to bring in prayer before God. They will always work in pairs. If they are not obvious at the end of the service, please ask one of the ministry team and they will direct you to them.

Ministry of Prayer and Laying on of Hands

Every 3rd Sunday during the 10am Communion, there is the facility for prayer and laying on of hands. Those wishing this ministry should go to the North Altar during the Administration and wait in the front pews until a couple are free to pray and minister to you. For more information please contact the Parish Office office@christchurchguildford.com.

Prayer Web

This is a collection of individuals who pray faithfully in their own homes for our youth work and youth leaders. We hope to extend our prayer web to cover our music, preaching and teaching. For more information please contact the Parish Office office@christchurchguildford.com.
