About Us

Easter Day Service 2007Christ Church is a welcoming and friendly church where there are opportunities to make friends and to make music, to learn, worship, sing, talk, pray, serve, receive, give, grow and, most importantly, to get to know God better. There are groups and activities for people of every age, from babies onwards. Whether you have been brought to Guildford through study, work, family or friends, we hope you will make your home here. If you have always lived in Guildford or if you come from the other side of the world, you are very welcome.

Christ Church is here to know Christ better and to make Christ better known. Jesus Christ is at the heart of who we are and all we do.

Having Him at the centre of our life is what makes the difference to those within Christ Church and, we hope, to all those we meet.

Our Mission:

"To know Christ better; to make Christ better known; and to witness to God's love in active concern for the wholeness of others"

Our Core Values:

It is the hope and dream of Christ Church that we shall become, more and more, a people:

Who are refreshed and sustained by a real encounter with God in worship and who recognise how God moves in response to prayer;

Who form a community of faith, love and care where everyone of all ages and backgrounds feels that they belong and are accepted in the same way that God accepts us;

Who understand the depths of God through trust in the authority and relevance of his word;

Who discover the difference that God makes and the wholeness that he brings into every area of life;

Who express their love for God and each other by serving others and making a difference in the world;

Who know the love of God in such a real way that they want to share this with others.
